Nicole Kenny is a proud deaf artist from Scotland, who absolutely loves expressing her creativity and celebrating her Deaf identity through various forms of art. She enjoys working with fine art, illustration, and moving images to share her unique perspective and experiences. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in New Media Art from the University of the West of Scotland has helped enhance her skills in Graphic Design and Art & Design.
Artist Statement
I am a passionate Deaf artist who finds inspiration in the world around me. My art reflects my journey as a Deaf individual and allows me to express my identity in unique ways. I enjoy using different styles and tools, both traditional and digital, to share captivating stories.
I adore creating Deaf art, including sign language animations and informative posters/illustrations, to celebrate and uplift the deaf community. My aim is to shed light on important issues and initiate meaningful conversations about accessibility, representation, and identity. I hope that my art sparks interest in these topics and contributes to building a more inclusive and understanding society.
