HOW ARTWORK IS (OR IS NOT) RELATED TO DEAFNESS:
My work is related to life, not deafness. I have studied with hearing teachers. I want my work to be enjoyed by both deaf and hearing people. I do not want to identify myself as a deaf artist, but as a good artist who happens to be deaf. My work reflects images I see everyday, or have seen in the past, distilled through an enhanced visual perception that may be a result of my being unable to hear well.
